N ewlox Gold Ventures Corp. is an environmentally and socially responsible company pursuing
precious metal related business opportunities in Latin America.
The Company is working in collaboration with the Norman B. Keevil Institute of Mining Engineering at the University of British Columbia and, with its experienced team in Central America, has established a waste remediation and gold recovery operation.
Newlox provides a valuable service to local stakeholders where there exist a large number of historical waste dumps (tailings) that pose social and environmental risks. Newlox is addressing this problem by reprocessing these materials to recover valuable precious minerals while cleaning up the environment.
The longer-term objective of Newlox is to establish a dividend paying enterprise which will allow its shareholders to participate in equity value growth, share in profits, and partake in positive environmental remediation projects while setting a high standard of social responsibility.
Newlox has built its first processing facility in Central America and is now in the commissioning and optimisation phase. Management at Newlox plans to complete the commissioning process and enter commercial production in the very near term which will allow for the implementation of a comprehensive plan to rapidly increase processing and recovery.
Upon commercialization of its first processing plant, management at Newlox will implement their regional growth strategy which is designed to rapidly commission new processing facilities in multiple jurisdictions beginning with Colombia and Nicaragua. These processing facilities are designed to be constructed for roughly $1 million in CAPEX and commissioned in 3 to 6 months.
At present, Newlox has announced its intention to acquire two properties in Colombia for the deployment of new processing plants and is in advanced negotiations to facilitate its move into the Nicaraguan market. Newlox’s plants are designed to allow for aggressive expansion with minimal capital costs and should allow the Company to quickly build critical mass, providing greater recovery of precious metals and an expanded footprint of environmental remediation.
